Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account details: email, firm name and a password hash (we never store your password itself).
- Fund data you enter: fund and business details, asset values, properties, investors and their investments, documents you generate.
- Billing details: Stripe processes card payments; we receive the customer and subscription identifiers and payment status, never full card numbers.
- Requests and listings: what you submit in service-request, quote or directory forms.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and protects forms, and standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept by our host for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To run the service: calculations, documents, deadlines, investor portals and firm workspaces.
- To bill you and keep your subscription in sync with Stripe.
- To send service email: account and billing notices, invitations, and the service requests you choose to send.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
We do not sell personal information and do not use your fund data for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host or process data for us: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Google (fonts and, when you use address search, Maps place suggestions), and the U.S. Census Bureau and HUD public services (addresses you look up on the zone map).
- The independent provider you send a service request to, limited to what you enter in that request.
- People you give access: members of your firm workspace, and investors you send a portal link to (they see only their own statements).
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use one first-party session cookie, required to sign in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Loading fonts and the map may let those providers see your IP address.
Retention and security
We keep account and fund data while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups, legal and tax records. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored with our database provider; access is limited to what is needed to run the service.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your data in the app, export reports, and ask us to correct or delete your account at support@fundtaxes.com. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK) you may have further rights to access, delete or object to processing; email us and we will respond within the time the law requires.
